Grade and product form
Specify ASTM A182 F53 for the required forged components. A cast duplex material must be ordered under its own applicable specification and grade rather than relabelled F53.
Environmental requirements
Confirm chloride conditions, temperature, fluids and service exposure. Material selection must also evaluate the ball, stem, seat, bolting and seals.
Fabrication and inspection
Duplex material supply may require project-specific verification of heat treatment, chemical composition, microstructure and corrosion testing; agree the actual inspection scope in the purchase order.
Technical RFQ
Send valve construction, pressure class, size, end connection, seat design, operating conditions and material certification requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Is F53 the same material designation as S32750?
F53 is the ASTM product-grade designation commonly associated with UNS S32750; the purchase order should specify the applicable material standard and form.
Is a duplex body sufficient for seawater service?
No. All wetted components and the actual conditions must be reviewed.
